Jeffrey D. Paquin is our senior arbitrator. He leads our neutral practice, and for more than 35 years has handled domestic and international matters for the American Arbitration Association, other neutral organizations, and privately.
Mr. Paquin arbitrates commercial, product liability, insurance, construction, intellectual property, technology, partnership, employment, fidelity and surety, antitrust, real estate, contract, environmental, healthcare, transportation, agricultural, agri-business, crop insurance, vineyard and winery, financial institution, and other types of complex disputes. He has served as an arbitrator, mediator, or facilitator in more than 1,000 disputes.
In addition to serving as an arbitrator, mediator, and facilitator, Mr. Paquin has served extensively as an early neutral evaluator, settlement counsel, and in other similar capacities. He has also designed, implemented, and managed comprehensive dispute resolution and conflict management programs for corporations, government agencies, and other organizations.
Mr. Paquin is often referred to as a visionary and pioneer with respect to certain aspects of the dispute resolution field. He is a highly sought after arbitrator, mediator, facilitator, trainer, author, and speaker.
Mr. Paquin serves as the Executive Director of the Chief Litigation Counsel Association. He taught dispute management and dispute resolution courses for twelve years as an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University School of Law, and also served as the Co-Chair of the Executive Advisory Committee of the CPR International Institute for Dispute Resolution. Mr. Paquin was a Founding Distinguished Fellow in the College of Corporate Counsel Neutrals. He has served as chief litigation counsel for a Fortune 50 company, chief operations counsel for Fortune 10 and Fortune 75 companies, as a national practice leader in a "Big 4" professional services firm, and as a commercial litigator and ADR section chair in an Am Law 100 law firm.
Mr. Paquin has also served as the chair or vice-chair of several local, state, and national bar association sections and committees focused on dispute resolution. He is admitted to practice law in Georgia, the District of Columbia, before the U.S. Supreme Court, and before state and federal trial and appellate courts in Georgia and the District of Columbia.
