The Chief Litigation Counsel Association (CLCA) is an informal group that was established in 2000. The mission of CLCA is to be the premier organization exclusively for in-house attorneys serving in the role of chief litigation counsel for their companies or organizations.
CLCA is comprised of the chief litigation counsel of a limited number of companies and organizations in various industries. Through semi-annual meetings (typically a spring meeting and a fall meeting), virtual sessions, a listserv, and other activities and events, the group focuses on networking, knowledge sharing, and educating members about recent developments, trends, and “best practices” with respect to the legal profession, legal departments, litigation management, and litigation.
CLCA is a unique group, unmatched in the legal industry. An invitation to join CLCA, the only group of its kind, is an indication that a chief litigation counsel and their organization have achieved remarkable and distinguished excellence in the legal profession, with accomplishments unmatched by most peers. CLCA provides a refreshing alternative to traditional associations, groups and conferences and is not intended to replace those activities.
CLCA's current members include ADM, Air Products and Chemicals, Amazon, American Express, Ameriprise Financial, Amgen, BAE Systems, Booz Allen, Bristol Myers Squibb, CBRE, Charles Schwab & Co., Coca-Cola, ConocoPhillips, Corning, Danaher Corporation, Dell, Deloitte, Exxon Mobil Corporation, Fidelity Investments, GE Aerospace, GE Healthcare, GE Vernova, General Motors, Gilead Sciences, GlaxoSmithKline, Hewlett-Packard, Home Depot, Intuit, Johnson Controls, Kimberly-Clark, Linde, Lumen, Marriott International, McDonald's, Medtronic, Microsoft, Motorola Solutions, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Organon & Co., Pearson, Pfizer, Phillips 66, PPG Industries, Procter & Gamble, RTX, SAP, Standard Industries, Starbucks, Unilever, United Parcel Service, Verifone, Verizon, Viasat, Walmart, Wells Fargo, WestRock, and other companies.
